About Ronald

I am the founding director of Jager’s Dance & Events. I have been teaching for over twenty years and during my career I have trained many dancers who have gone to win at National and International level, have professional careers and many many more who have gained a lifelong love of dance. I am now the proud father to my daughter Eliza and partner to Natasha.

Since retiring from competitive dancing I have built a wealth of experience and developed a great understanding from the guidance of my fabulous mentors. I now thoroughly enjoy coaching my competitive students to develop their own dancing to a top class level.

Firstly, I would like to thank some of my mentors as I was extremely lucky to have worked with some of the best in the industry.

In the Netherlands:

My very first teachers Cees & Huibje Burger; Two wonderful people who taught me my first steps and passed on their love for Dancing.

Piet Rullens; A great coach and fabulous teacher who helped me to achieve my first title, Dutch Champion.

Benny Tolmeyer, Geoffrey Hearn & Byron Charlton; I had a fabulous time tapping into their wealth & experience in Dance.

Ruud Vermeij, Peter Townsend & Maximilian Winkelhuis; This group of coaches changed my whole perspective and vision towards my performance and training.

In England:

Paul & Pauline Taylor & Margaret Redmond; My stability and development in England wouldn’t of been so successful without these great teachers who helped me to develop further and give me a vision.

Bill & Bobby Irvine, Kenny & Marion Welsh, Robert & Barbara Grover, Chris Hawkins & Hazel Newberry; So much wisdom and knowledge shared along our journey together.

Marcus & Karen Hilton MBE, Anthony Hurley & Janet Gleave; I will be forever thankful for the knowledge and professionalism shared. I always have and will continue to look up to you all and have the most fabulous memories of our time together.
